How it works

“Can we afford
a second bakery?”

Dana runs a bakery and is weighing a second location. Here’s how she works it out with Fritz.

Dana hands over the files.

One folder: sales history, a staffing plan, the lease and two equipment quotes. Then she asks in plain words.

Then she asks “what if?”

Six weeks late, wages up 12%? Fritz updates all three and tells her what it means: $9,000 more to protect the reserve.

What if we open six weeks later and wages rise 12%?

Updated the model, slides and memo

Opening on May 13 brings the lowest cash to $21,913 in May, below your reserve.

To keep $30,000 in reserve, secure $9,000 more before opening. The slides and decision memo use the new numbers.

Questions

Questions, answered.

Something else? We’re happy to talk it through.

What is Fritz, exactly?

A desktop app for Mac and Windows. Give it a goal and the files it needs, and it produces documents, spreadsheets and presentations you can check, edit and download.

How is Fritz different from ChatGPT or Claude?

It’s built for small-business work: one company balance, a spending limit for each person, and admin views that show cost, not conversations. It runs on open-weight models, and your questions reach the people who build it.

What happens to my files?

You choose which files you share with Fritz. AI processing sends task content to the model provider. The privacy policy explains local history and hosted service records.

How much does usage cost?

It depends on the model and the size of the task. You pay from a prepaid balance that doesn’t expire, and you can cap each person’s monthly spending.

Which computers does Fritz run on?

Macs with Apple silicon and 64-bit Windows PCs.

Can I cancel?

Yes, from Billing. Your seat stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

About the examples

Hearth & Grain is a fictional bakery. The figures come from a supervised Fritz run on five fictional files, checked against an independent calculation. The page shows that work in the Fritz interface; it sends no live AI requests and does not access your files.
